Our Easter blend this year consists of a naturally processed, low-acid coffee from Brazil and a washed coffee from Nicaragua.
For us, this great blend has a full-bodied and creamy mouthfeel with a round and powerful body. It brings notes of caramel, chocolate & lemon.
60% of this blend has been processed as Washed and 40% as Natural.
The coffee from Brazil comes from Ismael Andrade and consists of 100% Yellow Catuai Arabica beans. These are grown and processed at altitudes of approx. 800 - 1,150m in the Cerrado Mineiro region of Minas Gerais. His family has been growing coffee in Brazil since about 1901.
In the north of Nicaragua, in the Esmeralda region of Jinotega, the coffee from Nicaragua grows at 1,250 –1,350 meters above sea level. The altitude, the temperate climate and the mineral-rich soils create ideal conditions for slow ripening of the coffee cherries, thus ensuring clarity, structure and depth in the cup.
