Important information about deliveries to Switzerland (and to Norway)
The general information on customs clearance also applies to deliveries to Norway. Please note, however, that different fees and VAT rates apply for Norway. We therefore recommend that you check with the Norwegian customs office for the latest regulations and fees.
If you order goods from us and would like them delivered to Switzerland, we will only charge you the net value of the order (our sales price minus 19% German VAT, minus 7% German VAT for espresso/coffee). Your order will be converted to the net value of the goods after you enter your billing/delivery address. The total value of your order, including shipping costs, will be visible in your shopping cart before you submit your order.
Please note, however, that importing goods into Switzerland will incur additional costs charged by Swiss customs.
1. Swiss VAT: When importing goods into Switzerland, Swiss customs will charge you Swiss VAT at a rate of 8% of the value of the goods. The value of the goods is calculated based on the value of the contents of the shipment plus any customs clearance, shipping, and freight costs.
2. Customs/processing fees: Swiss customs may charge customs duties on the goods being imported. The customs duty is calculated based on the gross weight of the postal shipment. As a rule, customs duties are less than CHF 1 per kilogram. Swiss customs may also charge processing fees.
Please contact the Swiss Confederation directly for binding information on customs clearance costs.
Exchange/repair: Please also note that any customs and shipping costs incurred in the event of an exchange/repair are to be borne by the customer and that we will only accept returns in their original packaging.
Export of goods to Switzerland (to Norway) by the customer
If you are a resident of Switzerland and have the goods sent to a German delivery address in order to export them to Switzerland yourself, we will refund the German VAT after the goods have been exported. Please note when ordering that you wish to export the goods to Switzerland yourself, and we will enclose the relevant export document with the shipment. After receiving the export certificate stamped by customs, we will refund the German VAT to you. If the refund is made to a Swiss account, we charge a one-time fee of €15 for the SEPA transfer. Please note that we require a copy of your ID card/passport for the export certificate and that the goods must be exported within 3 months of purchase.
