The plantations have existed since the late 1800s. They were founded by third-generation plantation owners to offer discerning consumers coffee and spices of outstanding quality.

Both Arabica and Robusta coffee are grown, which is processed in three forms: washed, natural and honey.

The coffee plants are grown on slopes with two-tiered shade created by native rainforest trees and Erythrina lithosperma trees. These canopies not only provide habitat for over 200 species of animals, birds, insects, and reptiles, but also create a unique microclimate.

The soil is rich in humus and organic matter with abundant natural minerals, supporting some of the most diverse and rarest soil microbes and fungi.
